Is anyone still out there?

It has certainly been a struggle to be normal lately. I am posting more for the sake of posting, and to let all of you know that I am still here than to show anything really new that I have created!

Many of you now know of my health struggles. They have hit a peak that I was not expecting and now I have to take a step back and re-evaluate my existence!  I am fighting because I am never one to give up easily. I just can't see this being the end of anything for me! I just might be away more than on and I may be missing from your favorite magazines for awhile until I am better. I don't want to be gone completely, but I have to take care of myself or there will be no more me.
I need to continue creating, I find it to be very therapeutic, so it would be silly ti give it up altogether. I just want to create from my heart. So I will no longer be taking special requests or custom orders, since these cause me stress, and I have to avoid that as much as possible. That does not mean I won't consider making something like what you might be looking for, but I just won't make any promises.
In the meantime, you can go shopping and purchase what I have in my shop. I have lots of beautiful things in there just waiting for a new forever home. I will keep adding things to my shop for as long as I can and will only close temporarily when my health dictates that I must. Help me fight this fight! Stay positive! I will make it through! As a good friend of mine once said, "Don't say you 'think' you will make it, say you 'will' make it and you will"

I love you all and I am blessed to have you in my life!

Marie, we have became friends by fate not accident. I charish all you have taught me and all you will continue teaching me. You were one of the first designers I connected with. It often feels like we have known each other much longer than we have. I do have my passport so one day we will share a cup of tea! I know we will, you will be in my thoughts and prayers daily! You are an inspiration for me and you Will be ok, but you do need to take care of yourself. Blessings to you and your beautiful family!!
Love,
Cheri

Marie, I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling with health issues! So very frustrating when your body betrays you. I think you are wise to give yourself permission to only create at the pace that brings you health, and to step back from on-demand creating. I often find custom work stressful too. Plenty of rest, and as much peace as you can gather is good for any ailment! Sending you fervent wishes for strength and healing! (I LOVE that red bracelet by the way...)

The most important thing is to take care of yourself.

Post when you can.

Keep creating, no matter how it manifests. Keep a sketchbook to catch ideas. Throw something together to catch the light in the window. Create an ornament for the mantle. Make a set of mis-matched earrings just because. Work on a long rope because the repetition requires a little bit of thought but mostly because it provides an escape from overthinking every thing else.

Mostly create because it will keep your mind healthy.

Best of luck to you.

Wanted to say that I battled breast cancer last year (Stage III) and beading was one of the things that got me through chemo. It really helped to focus on something other than my illness. Am now cancer-free and send best wishes that whatever your health situation, you can get through it with the love and support of friends and family.
