Squares and Dangles

Awhile ago I posted another bracelet that was made with these square links. I love the originality of the look and wanted to try another one. I chose some rich reds and oranges for this one and added a lot of dangles or leaf pendants. It is very light weight and fun to wear.

The links split apart to attach together and I decided to slip a few beads onto the links for extra texture and colour. I also slipped on the different colours, shapes and sizes of glass leaves on different links. I love the way they dangle all over when you move. lol.

Fresh Water Pearls and Garnets

I made these two bracelets with my Mother in mind. Her birthstone is the garnet, her Birthday being January 1st, and I love pearls. I have not decided which one I am going to give her for Mother's day yet, I still have a couple of weeks to make up my mind. lol. Both bracelets are light in weight and very delicate. Just like my mom I think.

I guess that is all for now.

Lampwork mix Bracelet

Did I mention how much I love this toggle clasp?? My new fave!! I love the way this bracelet turned out. The gorgeous lampwork bead in the centre is from Beadazzled a site I discovered when surfing around the web. I purchased a few beads from her and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I got so many beautiful beads, I am a little scared to use them since like this one they may just not be available the next time I have a peak at the site. I also used some Rhyolite, pewter spacers and some of my favorite glass beads.
My computer has already crashed once so I am going to cut this short. :)

Carnelian and Rhyolite

These colours together with this clasp just hit me like a brick wall. Sometimes when I am creating something new, I just go with the flow and you just never know what is going to come out of it. When I was done this one all I could think of was a warm fall evening watching the setting sun with the smell of leaves decaying and a warm breeze in the air. Yes I could see all that. lol. I am not sure if I will be able to part with this one. I am quite attached to it. Maybe I will make a look alike and sell that one instead. lol.
I used Carnelian nuggets that I purchased from Fire Mountain Gems and Rhyolite that I got from a local store called Beads 'n More. The clasp in just a plain metal clasp I found at Wal-Mart of all places. Who would have thought!!
Come back soon, I have a whole bunch of new projects just waiting to be added to my blog.

Agate Pearls

I must say that since I discovered the higher end materials, nothing makes me smile more than the pearls. I especially love the large ones. They make any bracelet more rich and luxurious and add a certain "je ne sais quoi" to any creation. I used pewter spacers and bead caps. I also used a few pewter beads and a pewter toggle clasp. The agate nuggets come in all sorts of tones so I tried choosing a variety to make the bracelet look unique. Of course I added my favorite large cultured fresh water pearls.

Let me know what you think I always love to read your lovely comments.

Nugget Bracelet

This bracelet has a lovely silver plated toggle clasp and small round silver plated beads between each nugget. The light green nuggets are Aventurine a semi precious stone and the dark variegated green are dyed shell. Unfortunately When I first started this little hobby of mine I did not write down the names of most of my stones, so the other ones I can not remember the names of. I learned my lesson and now keep all the tags with the beads so I don't run into this again. lol. This bracelet has considerable weight to it, and feels quite nice on your wrist.
I am having trouble with my computer so excuse the short posts, I hope to get it fixed soon.
See you soon

Stretch Choker

What a lovely neck, don't you think? lol. This is my oldest daughter Emma-Jeanne. She is modeling this choker for me so I could get a decent picture and really show you what it looks like. It really suits her. :)
I used three rectangular red glass beads as the focal point, silver spacers at the edges and black glass seed beads in between. I did this on two strands of stretch magic so that I could make it stronger and so I could make it wider by expanding it after the focal point. I did this simply by putting beads on each of the strands and combining the strands again through one row before the toggle.

I used more of the black seed beads and pewter spacers, and added some larger clear and black glass beads. I put a toggle clasp at the back to make it easy to put on but the stretch magic was to make it more comfortable.

Let me know what you think!!

Marbled

I gave this bracelet to my Mother for her Birthday. She was ecstatic. She loved the colours and the texture and how it sat on her wrist. My Mother has dark brown hair, even at 63, and looks fantastic in earthy colours.

I used a variety of stones and some chips that had an iridescent sheen to them. I did not place the stones in any particular order but made sure to place chips between each stone. I finished it off with a metal heart toggle clasp.

Come again soon
